00/Hour CorTech is seeking to hire a Forklift Operator for our client in Cortland, IL! SUMMARY The Production Associate is an hourly position, reporting to the Production Supervisor.
This position is first shift Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:
30pm with overtime as needed.
The Warehouse Technician is accountable for loading, shipping and stocking that coordinates with designated shipping schedules, warehouse inventory management, and all activities necessary to inventory and ship a product which includes but is not limited to loading and labeling drums/totes etc.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Batching and Preparation of Materials:
To help ensure a consistent and quality product from batch to batch, procedures must be followed for each technology produced.
Received adequate training and fully understand manufacturing procedures.
Proper labelling of drums / totes Proper palletizing and banding of drums Follow loading instructions House-Keeping:
Maintaining a clean and safe environment is a critical aspect of safety.
Not only does it ensure a safe and clean working environment.
All trash needs to be disposed of at the end of each day.
All spills need to be addressed immediately.
Wipe down equipment and tools Proper labeling of all products Date Owner Product Name Put all products, equipment, tools etc away each and every day.
Other Duties:
Operate and attend downline processing and packaging machinery; Troubleshooting skills, including root-cause analysis and resolution of machine issues; During upset conditions, assist the Extruder Technicians in re-stringing the product through the line; Lift and stack product during packaging equipment down periods Ability to drive the process to ensure production and quality targets are met on a daily basis; Complete and enter work order notifications in SAP; Ability to drive a forklift to move finished product bundles to warehouse staging area.
All successful candidates must pass forklift lift training and become certified on the forklift during their introductory period; The ability to do basic mathematical calculations; The ability to read instruments and accurately record readings.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES The employee should hold the following abilities:
Must be able to read, write, and speak English Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions Must possess strong communication and organizational skills Must have the ability to multi-task Must work well in team environment Must be able to secure and maintain Powered Industrial Vehicle Certification Must be able to work independently Must have to ability to do basic mathematical calculations Must be able to maintain a safe and clean work environment Must be able to comply with all safety/work/procedures, rules and regulations Must be able to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting established productivity and accuracy standards Must be able to work in a variety of climates (both indoor and outdoor) COMPUTER AND SOFTWARE COMPENTENCIES The employee must be able to:
Operate a computer or other keyboard instrument SAP experience a plus EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE The employee should have the following:
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required 12 months tow motor/forklift operations experience 2 years of manufacturing experience Related experience and/or training in an industrial environment Must be a US citizen or have the right to work in the US Must be 18 years or older Must be drug and alcohol free ADDITIONAL TRAINING REQUIRED Training and Qualification packet completed successfully Role-Specific Powered Industrial Equipment Certification All annual safety and role specific training, as required by the nature of this position.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
